Unfortunately we only seem to visit out of season. I say unfortunately as it's a lovely campsite, the staff are lovely and help as much as they can. The cafe is amazing. Only reason we don't come in the summer is we like grass pitches and campfires, this place is much better for hardstandings, not worse just different.

The food was decent. The service was very good. The room was warm (temperature) & the atmosphere pleasant.

All I can say is this place is lovely.... Food is always excellent, staff are excellent, camping is excellent.... Go you will not be disappointed... Even if you go just for breakfast or lunch

Beautiful place to visit either for fishing, eating out, or camping. The resturant serves great food and the menu is varied. As for camping there are a few options, but I've stayed in one of the camping pods and the Shepard huts and can recommend both. The camping pod is more basic as it's just a wooden hut that you have to bring all your own gear for. There is an electric plug and light inside but that's it. Ideal for those who want the fun of camping without the fuss of putting up a tent. The Shepard huts have more in them including a very comfortable bed with the softest duvet, a mini fridge, kettle, and a small wood burner with wood provided. The toilet and shower blocks are spotless, and depending on where you're staying on the site a 3-4 minute walk maximum. All in all a very pleasant stay and would recommend to anyone wanting a short break or a nice meal out in the summer.

My partner and father stayed in Boldwood and Bathsheba huts and were absolutely blown away with the accommodation. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly from the moment they arrived and nothing was too much trouble. The fishing was exceptional and especially fun on the farm pond located just outside the huts. These were well furnished, Warm and perfect for rest after a long day fishing. The site at night was especially nice and the supplied breakfast was just superb and delivered quickly. We will be returning and would thoroughly recommend
